HRT 1.4 (that means high resolution textures) is a remastered graphics modification for GTA: San Andreas (2004). Purpose of the mod — is to provide improved graphics with preservation of original game's atmosphere using remade textures that are maximum similar to the original ones by colours, contrast and other parameters, but made in really high definition; it also contains improved and fixed models and other features. The mod is the development.

HRT 1.4 in the development from 2011, but this year mod must be finished. A have a lot of different questions, connected with mod — and one of them: is needed adaptation for Steam version of San Andreas, or not?

(And we started a new voting on this theme).

What I mean? Originally San Andreas was released retail in 2005 on PC and only after few years was started selling of this game in Steam. Retail version of San Andreas and version in Steam have some differences. Retail game have version 1.0 and then was released patch to 1.01. GTA: SA in Steam initially have version 3.0. In this version blocked installation of mods, but was invented way, how to downgrade game to 1.0 version.

Return to main. I do not have Steam version of the game, I have only retail (box) version. And I am do not know, how works Steam version of GTA: San Andreas, I do not know, how will be work HRT 1.4 with Steam version (and will it work?), I do not know, how adapt installation of mod for Steam version. If mod will be released with supporting of Steam, installation must be easy, mod must be tested with this variant of game.

If someone want to help me with this — he can buy Steam version for me. You may just buy game as the gift (and now excellent opportunity for this — The Steam Summer Sale 2014 in Steam) and select me in list of friends (here is my profile in Steam). That’s all. Thanks to your help, mod will be better.
